General guidelines
- Medsure Medical Services Company welcomes your enrollment and confirms that all employees of the company are committed to providing the highest level of medical services to our clients.
- Please make sure that your valid medical card is always available with you. In case of an emergency or if the card is unavailable, you can contact us through the Hotline.

- If you face any difficulty obtaining the service, please contact the Hotline immediately, which operates 24 hours a day / 7 days a week (24/7).
- No cash payments should be made to the service provider (except for co-payments for uncovered services or hospitalization differences). In emergency cases, no co-payment is required.
- The medical form is valid for 7 days only, after which you must return to the company.
- Medical approvals are valid for 7 days only, after which you must refer back to the company.
- Please ensure that all information on the medical form is completed and that the service provider’s stamp is obtained, in order to be able to dispense medications and conduct medical tests.
- Please ensure that you receive the correct copy of the medical form designated for the following services:
- Blue – Medications
- Yellow – Laboratory Tests
- Red – Radiology
- Green – Other Services
- Dental services (including consultation) are provided only at specialized dental centers, not in hospitals.
- Vision examination for eyeglasses is conducted only in specialized ophthalmology centers and hospitals.
- Laboratory and radiology services are performed at specialized laboratories and radiology centers, not in hospitals (except in emergency cases).
- Physiotherapy services are provided only in specialized centers, not in hospitals.
- Physiotherapy approvals require a medical report from a consultant in Orthopedics, Rheumatology, or Neurosurgery.
- When obtaining a service, the classification of the listed service provider must be considered.
- The beneficiary has the right to receive services from providers with the same classification listed on the medical card (or a lower classification).
- If you face any difficulty obtaining the service while present at the service provider, please contact the Hotline immediately.
- Please ensure that you sign the medical form after receiving the service.
- The company reviews and studies requests for adding new providers to the medical network.
Ways to obtain medical approvals
- The medical approvals team (physicians) responds to approval requests through the On-line System, according to the agreed terms and as stated in the benefits schedule.

- In case of a medical consultation and request for medications, radiology, laboratory tests, or surgical intervention, it is required to ensure the availability of the original stamped medical form that includes the beneficiary’s name and a clear diagnosis, and to send it to the approvals email along with a copy of the medical card and specifying the service provider where the service is required.
- For inpatient department approvals, many service providers contact the company directly to obtain the required approval.
- In case of consultation with a doctor outside the medical network, or requesting medications, radiology, laboratory tests, or surgical intervention, it is required to ensure the availability of the original stamped prescription that includes the beneficiary’s name and a clear diagnosis, and to send it to the approvals email along with a copy of the medical card and specifying the service provider where the service is required.
- Some medical cases may require review by the service provider or the company’s authorized medical team, which may take a longer time. Please contact the Hotline in case of delay.
Cases Requiring Prior Approval
- Surgical operations, catheterizations of all types, and interventional radiology.
- Inpatient treatment inside hospitals.
- Endoscopies, dialysis sessions, and nerve conduction tests.
- Physiotherapy sessions and repeated sessions such as joint injections.
- All dental services (including consultation).
- All maternity and delivery services (including consultation).
- All optical services (including consultation).
- Some services exceeding a financial limit of EGP 500.
- CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Scan, and PET Scan.
- Some medications.
- Some laboratory tests.
- Emergency Cases
- All emergency cases do not require prior approval, and the client has the right to perform radiology, laboratory tests, and any other services inside the hospital.
- In all emergency cases that threaten the patient’s life (God forbid), the patient has the right to receive treatment in any hospital regardless of the designated medical network.
How to Submit Cash Reimbursement Requests
- Some beneficiaries (according to the benefits schedule) may receive cash reimbursement services after paying cash to a service provider not listed within the medical network.
- To properly submit a reimbursement request, the following documents must be obtained from the service provider:
- Original stamped invoice (pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, etc.) indicating the beneficiary name, service date, and diagnosis.
- Original stamped medical prescription indicating the amount paid, doctor’s name, and mobile number.
- Submit the documents along with a copy of the medical card.
- For inpatient cases, an original detailed stamped invoice must be submitted along with a medical report.
- During the review process, Medsure Medical Services Company may contact the service provider or the beneficiary to verify certain details. The company reserves the right to reject any requests that violate medical standards, according to the evaluation of its physicians.
- Reimbursement requests are accepted within 60 days maximum from the service date.
- Payments for services are made within the timeframe agreed upon in the benefits schedule.
- Payments are made according to the reference prices agreed upon in the benefits schedule.
- Reference prices can be checked through the authorized representative in your company or through the Hotline.
General Exclusions (Summary List)
- These are cases not covered by insurance, and slight differences may apply according to the policy. They can be reviewed through the Hotline or your company’s authorized representative:
- Suicide, self-harm, fights, wars, revolutions, or similar events.
- Natural disasters, epidemics, poisoning cases, or dangerous sports.
- Psychological and mental illnesses, drug abuse, addiction, and misuse of medications.
- Genetic diseases and congenital defects (regardless of the patient’s age).
- Sexually transmitted diseases, infertility treatments, family planning, and their complications.
- Occupational diseases, immune diseases, allergies, and geriatric diseases.
- Comprehensive medical checkups and all preventive or non-essential treatments.
- Pain management, cosmetic surgeries, obesity or weight-loss surgeries, and organ transplantation.
- Sleep disorders, lack of concentration, learning difficulties, and speech disorders.
- Treatment by foreign experts, convalescent homes, or alternative medicine.
- Medications not officially priced by the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
- Medical supplies, prosthetic devices, or artificial limbs.
- Coverage for dental, optical, maternity, and delivery services is according to the benefits schedule.
- Coverage for chronic or pre-existing conditions is according to the benefits schedule.
